Hand made bib #2

I made another bib today. This time I did it in
stockinette instead of garter stitch.
I like the result better than the one I did yesterday.
These bibs are definitely better than the store
bought ones. I don't have to worry about any velcro
snags or them being too tight on his neck.
David is so fun to make things for!
Who knew I would love being a mom so much!

Hand made bib

David had a great time yesterday at Thanksgiving.
His cousins took him everywhere and he didn't
lack attention or toys at anytime.
Today we enjoyed a little shopping, but
we mostly just spent time together at home.
I found this pattern for a bib, so I made it this evening.
I love handknit washcloths, so this is a great combination.
It can be used as a bib, and then when he is finished, I can
wet it down and clean him up with it!
Fantastic!
I am so happy with this, I think I'll make several!
P.S. yes, being Suzy the homemaker is a goal of mine...

David's Christmas Sweater

I wanted to make David a Christmas sweater, so
I found a pattern on Ravelry that didn't have any
seams to sew since I don't like to seam with yarn.
I had so much fun making this.
I think Chris is a little jealous that David
gets sweaters and he doesn't...
but baby sweaters are very quick.
David loves his rocking chair from Grandpa Rich.
I'm so glad this sweater fits!
The other sweater I made him was too small, and
he only got to wear it once.

Dancing Bear

My friend Teresa gave David this toy.
It sat in my kitchen for a while, and David started trying
to play with it when he was in his walker, so I
decided to move it downstairs.
He loves standing and playing with it!
He played with it for over an hour.
I'm still worried about him falling and hitting his head,
so the area around him is well padded.
He was pretty funny. He isn't strong enough yet to pull himself up.
He would fall down and cry until I would stand him back up, then
he would laugh and play until he forgot to hold on and fell down again.
If you look closely, you can see a stray tear...

Happy Veterans Day!

This is David's first time in his high chair at home. My sister Carolyn gave me the high chair, and the cover was ruined. I decided it is easier clean it without upholstery, and David seems not to care that it isn't padded.
I think he looks like his Grandma Carol in this picture!
I was making apple cobbler,
so I gave him a granny smith and he liked it!
He was trying to make his own apple cobbler with
his teething biscuit and his apple!

Socktopus

This toy was so cute I couldn't resist making it for David when I saw the pattern.
The little legs are the perfect size!
